The objective of the project To construct a 808 KWp solar array on the Moscone West Convention Center and perform associated roofing repairs. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. The Engineer's estimate is $4,000,000. The contract will be awarded to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest responsive bid.
A Class “B” California Contractors License is required to bid. Furthermore, each listed subcontractor must possess appropriate active licenses for the work each subcontractor will be performing.
Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 14.00% and ONLY San Francisco (Local) Small & Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division). SFPUC-LBEs cannot be utilized to meet the 14.00% LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement. The LBE subcontractor participation requirement for this Contract is 14.00%. The LBE subcontractor requirement is less than 20% due to the solar specific experience required for this project and the specialized solar supplies which are not typically available through normal electrical supply chains. Interested Bidders are encouraged to attend by remote means a teleconference pre-bid and contractor networking conference to be held on November 3, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Attendance of remote attendees will be completed at the end of the pre-bid meeting. A site inspection will be held at Moscone West Convention Center – 800 Howard St., San Francisco. We will meet at the main entrance at the Howard Street and 4th Street Intersection at 11:00AM on 11/4/2021.

SFPUC encourages Bidders to submit a Safety Prequalification Form at least 3-weeks prior to the date of Bid opening. Bidders are required to pass the Safety Prequalification prior to SFPUC considering their bid submission complete. SFPUC will notify Bidders who have passed the Safety Prequalification prior to or on the date of Bid opening. Refer to Section 00 21 13 – Instructions to Bidders, “Bidder Qualifications” and Section 00 45 12 – Safety Prequalification for additional information.
